Some further works on packets. Quite enjoying these at the minute. A way of using up writing that sometimes doesn't find a place in poems.

'I'm Exactly Like My Father'
So I wrote this the other day. I had it in my head when trying to get a present for June 16 th. Here's to dads.

Back-Of-The-Packet Calculations
I don't think fag packet warnings are serious enough. Here are some alternatives. If you're gonna warn people for the benefit of their health then at least cover all angles.

S/S/S Exhibition: Whatever Is Here Is Not There
So our little 'collective' S/S/S has its first exhibition at Pretty Scruffy in Chichester. It is an amalgamation of some of the initial works we have created together. The closing party is tomorrow if you fancy it.

Build Up
"Build Up". Some more writing I put to an image, I couldn't help but use the image of someone falling. It's pretty fitting.

When The World Was Steady
Reworked this poem I had knocking about for awhile. Found this kid and thought it suited the tone. Enjoy

I Was Only Being Me
Made an image from some words I wrote awhile back. The title is from a conversation I overheard my friend having and the starting point of the poem.

S/S/S I Have a studio S/S/S
So as 2012 draws to a close, I have been a bit slack on the creative front, from measures out of my control. However I have very exciting news that I now have studio space for 2013. Stay tuned. It's going to be big. Here's a sneak peek. S/S/S

The Trouble With Lemon Curd...
Everytime I eat lemon curd, it's after I've burnt the toast. Just wondered whether lemon is the only way to cover up burnt toast or I genuinely enjoy it. I've done it for as long as I can remember.
Anyways this used a lot of pens, coffee and a bit of my order pad at work.

Coffee Break
Today like most days I had a coffee break. It involved biro, coffee and a cigarette.
"Today I drank so much coffee my heart began to race, it was a minor distraction from lingering heartbreak and job dissatisfaction."

An Open Letter To Jamie T
An Open Letter To Jamie T,
Look I'll try and keep it brief but basically we miss you. I mean it's been awhile and at the minute something's seriously lacking. Xfactor is back on TV attempting to force feed the nation and currently number one in the charts is a man with the inability to operate a hat correctly.
I think the final straw came when I was watching the news, the actual news, and a genuine report stated that chris moyles is recording a song with rizzle kicks. Fair play to people who enjoy that. But I don't. You're like the older cousin who we always have an awesome night out with, but we never see enough of. Everytime you've partied down in Pompey we've had a ball, right? I'm sure The Wedgewood-rooms would be more than happy to have you back? Failing that there's plenty of front rooms available.
All I'm saying is this Jamie, just let us know you're alright. I don't even mind getting the first few rounds in. It's just we need you now more than ever. Come on, it's Friday night.

"If It Doesn't Feel Like This, Then You're Not Doing It Right"
So on a rare Sunday where I wasn't hungover I was actually a bit creative again. It felt good to be getting back in the swing of things. I think my favourite one is the male/female triangle kiss collage. "If It Doesn't Feel Like This, Then You're Not Doing It Right".

"Be Cruel To Me, Because I'm A Fool For You"
So sometimes I write things. Sometimes I make things. I typed up some of my writig into a small envelope book I made. The title is an Alex Turner Lyric. The rest is mine. Slightly cliche, but you should cut and stick until your heart is fixed.

HEROES: Alex Turner
One of my works from the HEROES exhibition earlier in the year. Collage and Biro.
all of my heroes are people I admire for being uncompromising in their attitudes to their lives as well as their art. Although many of their characteristics can polarize peoples opinions. Alex Turner however is just a fucking beautiful lyricist.
