I Was Only Being Me

Made an image from some words I wrote awhile back. The title is from a conversation I overheard my friend having and the starting point of the poem.

So on a rare Sunday where I wasn't hungover I was actually a bit creative again. It felt good to be getting back in the swing of things. I think my favourite one is the male/female triangle kiss collage. "If It Doesn't Feel Like This, Then You're Not Doing It Right".

So sometimes I write things. Sometimes I make things. I typed up some of my writig into a small envelope book I made. The title is an Alex Turner Lyric. The rest is mine. Slightly cliche, but you should cut and stick until your heart is fixed.

Time Is Golden

So i got commissioned to create a work as a surprise present to celebrate some oldskool family friends Sylv and Johnny's 50th wedding Anniversary. Hope they like when it arrives in Malta and enjoy many more years together! They have a strong history associated with both Malta and Pompey. I was originally thinking about referencing both places with images/items representing both places within the image. However I decided that focusing around the time, love and colour pallette of gold gave a far more meaningful image. It is after all about celebrating their time together. Absolute legends x

Lets take a walk, Hold hands, Swing from crooked branches. Shake crumbs, From a blanket made for Picnics. Fall asleep long before the embers, As the day lingers, With the ash upon my cigarette.
