Southsea Skatepark Poster Designs

Here are two variations for the Skatepark Poster design. There was an open call for entries amongst local creatives and designers, I chose the orange hued one as my final entry though. The Skatepark is holding an open weekend to kick off the summer season! Get on your boards and bike and get your boots on and celebrate the start of summer!

Tea and Cloth Artwork

I was asked to create some artwork by my friend Ooh La Lapin for an upcoming event in Southsea for Textile Artists and Makers. It started off as one design but i ended up splitting the creation into two basically because of the colour scheme. Had a male and female vibe going on. Anyway here they are in their full glory!

Now Available In Three Dimensions

Here are some scans of my three dimensional letter created from polystyrene-stuff. It was from my friend george cricks pop up shop exhibition. He wanted to create the letters of our home town Southsea in 3D, and to get each letter designed by a different artist. Here is the front and back sides of my design, however I shall put up more pictures from the sides later on...

D-Day Display

My work was displayed within the D-Day museum this weekend to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day. The work was a combination of text derived from my friend Dan Knellers Masters dissertation alongside my own illustrations. The theme was "Untold Stories" and our work highlighted the lesser known death camps within the Holocausts Final Solution.

Coffee and Cigarettes

These are some images I have created within my sketchbook whilst I have been at work with no customers. Biro, Coffee and collage mainly.

The years almost dead

well here are a few bits out of my sketchbook for you. my Brit-ish book is now available to buy from the Aspex art gallery in Portsmouth, but its a limited run so if you want one get down there quick. Its glossy, has loads of drawings and sometimes even some writing, so get one in your life.

Mores stuff coming before the year is dead.

And found out some of my work is going to be featured in a Brochure by "i love dust" promoting creativity in Portsmouth, which is rather exciting too......

THIS IS YOURS- Canadian packs

Im about to embark upon a three week holiday through Canada, I am planning to leave fifty of my packs upon the streets and various destinations that I travel to. If you find one you can let me know by posting a comment here or sending me a card back!

I wonder how many, if any, responses I will get. Although I would be quite happy if I made someone smile when they found one.
Anyway I shall post me sketchbooks when Im back, wish me luck.

officially a struggling artist

Well university is over, now the joyous and completely unromantic process of sorting a c.v out begins whilst working and attempting to have the artwork flowing freely. However I have managed to create two poster designs for a recent Vinyl exchange event for the upcoming record label "Chakra Sounds". I though you might like to see them in their collaged and colorful glory.
Im off to Canada for three weeks so expect a humongous update of treats when i return....
